the following text is from my old web site. i wrote this sometime in december 2001, i think:

Recently at work, one of my former co-workers was promoted within two months of starting at our company. I felt somewhat confused. He is not as qualified as I am or my other co-workers. Then a month of two passed by and he came by to our location. He was now an assistant manager at another sore. Everything made sense all of a sudden. All my thoughts and all the gossip I kept hearing came together when I saw him again. Now realize that the following is just a theory: Theodore endorsed his promotion, BUT the person that approved it is very possibly gay. The co-worker that was promoted is very good looking and has his charm. I don't have anything agaisnt him, but he would not be my first choice for that position. I am not saying that he is not a good person either. Actually he had asked me to "give" him a "discount" on the things he was buying from the company that day he came by our store. Now I realize that we already get a discount on the things we buy but he wasn't asking for that kind of discount. I have been working with customers long enough to know when they are kidding about such things or when they are actually hoping to get something for free. His good looks and charm don't work on me. My self-pity is enough to keep me going.

And the reason I posted this text onto my diary is that the corporate office was tipped off about my website. I removed it so I can limit my exposure to them. I would have kept it if I was willing to put time into and updated it often.
