Beloved,

Today was somewhat boring. I really wanted to see my cousins before we left Tijuana. In the morning I finished up cleaning the branches from the tree and bushes.

Mother and father went into San Ysidro to buy the deadbolts for the new doors. While they went into the U.S., I did some light cleaning. I also moved my mom's bed. I really wanted to take a shower but I had left my towel and soaps at my aunt Josefina's house.

So I cleaned and cleaned. I waited and waited for father and mother to return. They came back around eleven in the morning. They now wanted me to fix the toilet. Arghhh. I had to take the reservoir apart to be able to change the component that was broken.

Half way through my fixing, mother brought something to eat. I went over to my aunt's house next door. She wasn't home at the time so it was only Humberto, David, and me. My mom bought Humberto a sub too. I think she noticed that he was hungry too.

My cousins are weird. They seem very interested in me. I am not used to being the center of attention like this. When I was younger I used to hunger this kind of attention. Now, it is very uncomfortable because I do not hunger it any longer.

After eating I went back to sweating over the toilet.

Finally I finished and I stopped the leak I created. Mother asked me to call the carpenter to come over. The number was very confusing. He had written the area code and the cell phone's area but not completely. He came by right away.

He brought with him the air compressor. We had to ask my cousin Humberto to help out. Of course my aunt Lili got very mad. That really sucked.

Mother and father had left to eat and mother also wanted to shower. They were also going to bring my stuff so that I could shower at the duplex.

When they came back they found that the carpenter couldn't finish painting with the compressor because the city had a blackout. My aunt thought it was because of the air compressor that the lights had gone out.

My aunt Josefina had come with them so that she could watch the house. It was time for us to leave so I rushed upstairs to take a shower.

Father drove and so we got there late at the Enterprise office. I told the lady that we were late and she attended to us quickly. They took us to the greyhound station and I ran to see if we could still catch the bus. No!!

It was too late. I thought I had to buy new tickets, but as it turned out we were able to use the same tickets for the next bus. The ride home was perfect. I stared at all the cars and sat back and relaxed. I even showed mother the pictures I had found in the duplex. The driver got us there early by half an hour.

My brother came and picked us up. I decided to call my aunt Josefina to try out her new phone. I was so glad to be able to pick up the phone and hear her and my cousins.

I really feel lucky that someone decided to move us here to Los Angeles. I know that I don't do much or earn much, but it's more than what I would have done back in Tijuana. Now it's time to move forward faster and with a purpose. Any purpose because it's better than no purpose.

Zort.
